There are four stitching modes
BSR1 | BSR2 | BSR3 | Manual |
---|---|---|---|
Constant needle movement once Start/Stop is active. | When Start/Stop is active, ,needle will move when the machine is moved. | Basting mode. | Operator regulates stitch length. |
The BSR indicator will turn green when the machine is active (Start engaged). This is especially helpful when using BSR2 or BSR3 as the needle will pause its movement when the machine movement is paused.
The needle is in constant motion, even when the machine is not being moved. The faster the machine is moved the higher the speed of the needle. This mode allows for precise work when doing corners and sharp points.
The machine only stitches when the machine is moved on the frame. The needle stops when the machine stops moving. There is no build up of stitches when stopped or when stitching very slowly. This mode is very good for curves and motifs without sharp points.
There are three programmed sitch lengths.
Select BSR3, then select stitch length.
SPI 1: 1 stitch per inch
SPI 2: 2 stitches per inch (stitches are 1/2")
SPI 4: 4 stitches per inch (stitches are 1/4"), recommended for basting
Baste across the top and sides of the quilt to secure layers before quilting. Baste anywhere stabilization prior to quilting would be helpful.
Use Manual Mode when stitching small things.
Stitch length can be set for BSR1 and BSR2
Changes to a setting will be indicated by a yellow box around the altered length setting.
