The current heat press VEVOR 5-1 digital heat press has two heat settings. The first is the “Initial temperature” This is the temperature that the heat press will hover at until the “Play” button is pressed. The second is the “Final Temperature” This is the temperature the heat press needs to reach before the timer starts. When using the heat press for DTG you’ll want to make sure that the “Initial Temperature” is the same as the “Final Temperature”. Place a piece of parchment paper onto the bottom plate of the heat press.
Make sure that what you’re pressing is completely flat with no obstructions or lifted areas I.e. pockets, the collar, zippers etc. Any variation in thickness will result in an uneven print.
If the timer doesn't start immediately once you press the “Play” button, then your “Initial Temperature” and “Final Temerature” are different. Lift the handle back up and check your settings.
If your pretreat isn’t quite dry, leave it on for a longer period of time.
If you aren’t using the heat press any longer, turn it off.
You have successfully heat pressed your substrate! You may now use the direct to garment printer!
