There are a few things you need to check off before you’re safe to run a file. If you are uncertain, it’s a very good idea to go back and make sure you’ve properly completed your setup. Ask a Community Technician if you’re still unsure.
You should be able to push and pull on the workpiece in any direction, as hard as you can, without it moving at all. If not, you need better workholding.
The active file is displayed in the top center of the main page.
Especially double check the Z axis. It's the worst origin to get wrong.
You are ready to run a file!
The active file is displayed in the top center of the main page.
If for any reason you need to pause the machine, the yellow “PAUSE” button will pause the file and move the Z axis upwards and out of the way.
The start button will restart from where you left off.
The Laguna CNC Router allows live tuning during a cutting operation. If you need to change any parameters during a cutting operation complete the following steps:
The active parameter will flash blue and yellow.
If you are unsure about a cutting operation, decreasing the feedrate override (FRO) will give you more reaction time in case something goes wrong.
The only parameters you should ever modify are "FRO" (feedrate override) or "SRO" (spindle rate override).
After the project is complete, the spindle will spin down and return to the home position.
From the home position, you can use the pendant or arrow keys to move the gantry to the far end of the bed.
Turn off the vacuum bed. If you've secured your workpiece with nails or fasteners, remove them.
Retrieve the finished product.
Clean up any debris and vacuum off the bed and surrounding area.
