Never let the free end of the filament on a spool get away from you. Filament is easy to tangle and tangled filament will cause print problems. Always keep the end of the filament secured to the spool, the printer, or in your hand.
Using the button-wheel control, scroll over to the "Control" tab. Push button to select.
Scroll down to "Temperature". Push button to select.
Scroll down to "Nozzle Temperature". Push button to select.
Use the scroll wheel to adjust the temperature to the printing temperature of the filament. The filament spool may have this written on it if you are unsure. PLA uses 200°C.
Prepare the end of the filament for insertion into the printer by cutting off any kinked bits. The filament should follow its natural curve and have no corners or sharp bends in it.
Then, snip the end of it off at an angle.
If the printer is still preheating, secure the end again while you wait.
