The following SOP covers how to set the bobbin level when using the Bernina Q24 longarm quilting machine. Setting the bobbin level tells the machine how full the bobbin you're using is, which allows the machine to estimate possible quilting time.
A membership or day pass is required to access Digital Textiles. The following Shop Safety Class is required to access the Bernina Q24 longarm quilting machine
You can make machine reservations in the following ways:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes must be worn at all times.
• Long hair, jewelry, and loose clothing must be tied back.
For more information on shop safety visit Digital Textiles under "Safety."
Most pre-wound bobbins will have the information on how many yards of thread are on the bobbin, so you may use this for your guide.
