The following guide covers how to turn on the Melco EMT-16 plus and launch the necessary software for embroidering.

You can make machine reservations in the following ways:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes must be worn at all times.
• Long hair, jewelry, and loose clothing must be tied back.
• Ear protection is recommended when two or more machines in the lab are running at once.

Always keep fingers away from moving parts!
Turn on the Melco EMT-16 Plus embroidery machine. Locate the green switch on the right-hand side of the Melco. Press switch to "on". The switch should light up to indicate power is on.
Wait until embroidery machine is ready for use. The machine should take about 10-20 seconds before the light turns on under the needle carriage and moves to "ready" position. Do not touch any part of the machine while the machine is warming up.
If needle carriage hasn't moved after one minute, it is possible that the emergency stop is engaged. Turn the emergency stop button clockwise to disengage the emergency stop. If successful, the needle carriage will move into "ready" position.
Log into "member" profile on the embroidery machine computer.
Launch Design Shop Pro program. On the embroidery machine computer, double-click on Design Shop Pro icon to launch the program.
Launch Melco OS program. Double-click on Melco OS icon to launch the program.
The machine and necessary software are now ready to operate!
