This page serves as an introduction to the Mister-T1 pretreat machine. Pretreating your substrate is a necessary step for ensuring maximum print quality on the direct to garment printer and the dye sublimation printer.
This machine is roughly equivalent to a computer controlled spray bottle. It applies a liquid that helps ink bond to fabric in an even and repeatable manner to the fabric that is inserted into the machine.
A membership or day pass is required to access Digital Textiles.
The Shop Safety Class Direct to Garment, Dye-Sublimation and Heat Press Safety is required to operate the pretreat machine.
A reservation is not required to use the pre-treat machine. The machine is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, the machine may be reserved in tandem with the Direct to Garment printer in order to streamline your workflow.

The pretreat machine is a delicate beast that responds well to careful handling.
The fan should always be running- if it's not, check the power switch on the back and the e-stop.

Make sure your substrates are clean, de-wrinkled, and ready to be printed on.
¶ Tips
Set the pretreat area to larger than the intended print area. The lowest bar on the button map represents the area closest to the handle/front of the drawer.
Bi-directional spray is controlled by round-trip button. This means that it sprays on the way out and the way back.
First shirt do it twice. Improves the vibes.
Use the chip brush to work the liquid in to improve the vibes.
Enjoy the steam coming out the sides.
