¶ Introduction
The following guide covers how to turn on and off the Q-Matic software when using the Bernina Q24 longarm quilting machine.

¶ PPE
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes must be worn at all times.
• Long hair, jewelry, and loose clothing must be tied back.

¶ Turning Q-Matic On

Locate the power switch on the back of the power box and turn it on. The power box is greyish and located between the frame of the machine and the tool cart.

Press the green button on the top of the power box. There will be thump, click, or thud from inside the box.
- If the screen on the sewing head doesn't light up after a second or two, check that the E-stop is disengaged. Look for a green ring around the base of the e-stop. To disengage, twist and pull firmly.
- If the machine is still not turning on, make sure that the power switch on the back of the arm is set on. This switch should always be on.

Power on the computer. There is no PC tower for this computer, so simply press the power button on the display.

Login to the member profile.
¶ Turning Q-Matic Off
- Power the computer down from the start menu.
- After the computer has powered down, use the power switch on the backc of the power box to cut power.
