¶ Introduction
Instructions to level the bed of the laser.
¶ Skills Required
A Community Technician, Site Supervisor, or Shop Manager should perform all machine maintenance.
¶ Before you Begin
¶ How to Determine if the Bed is Out of Level:
- Raise the bed by having your machine powered on and hitting the Z/U button on the machine keypad.
- Once you have pressed on the Z/U button on the keypad it will automatically highlight Z-move, from here you will raise and lower the bed using the left and right arrow keys.
- You are going to want the material on the bed to just barely be touching the laser cone.
- With the material barely touching the laser cone you will move the head to all four corners of the machine, placing the wood under the laser head each time. This will allow for you to determine if the table is too high or low on one or more corners of the machine.

- Power on the laser cutter.
- Test for levelness
- Lower or raise corners of the grid as needed
- Test for levelness
- Repeat 3 and 4 until it's level
