At Open Works we're here to make technology, tools, and the knowledge to use them accesible to all. As such, we are committed to providing physical, instructional, and financial accomodations to our members, day pass users, and community members. Sanitation Stations are available in every area of the building. Each Sanitation Station contains:
If a Sanitation Station is in need of a refill on any supplies please alert a Community Technician.
Any parents who require a break to breastfeed or pump can visit our Lactation Station on the upper level of Open Works for privacy and comfort. The lactation station comes stocked with diapers, sanitation products, and a fridge.

Both restrooms on the upper level of Open Works provide changing stations within the handicapped stalls. On the lower level of Open Works there is a changing station within the gender neutral bathroom.
Instructions and information provided in Community Orientation and Safety Certification Classes is primarily conveyed verbally. Each Safety Certification Class with a computer operation section will include a visual PowerPoint presentation.
For any deaf and/or hard of hearing members, day pass users, and community members who would like to attend Community Orientation or a Safety Certification Class accomodations are available upon request.
Hard of hearing members, day pass users, and community members may request that the Community Technician leading Community Orientation utilizes a microphone to broadcast their voice loudly and clearly.

Deaf members, day pass users, and community members may request that Open Works provide an ASL interpreter to translate the Community Orientation or Safety Certification Class whilst attending.

Open Works does not currently employ an ASL Interpreter on site.
Please provide notice so that we may hire an interpreter in time for your orientation/class.
There is no additional charge for requesting an interpreter.
Making tools and technology accesible to all goes hand in hand with making tools and technology affordable for all. Open Works is committed to providing low-cost education and membership. Still, Open Works recognizes that education programming and membership may be cost prohibitive for some.

For those demonstrating financial need, we can extend a 75% discount on three classes per year per adult recipient and one youth class per youth per season.

We understand that for some seniors our standard 10% senior discount is not enough to make the cost of membership affordable. For seniors demonstrating financial need, we offer sliding scale senior membership options. Please support Open Works by giving as generously as possible with your monthly membership fees contribution as we are a non-profit organization.
The base price of our monthly membership is $85 per month. The minimum contribution for a senior sliding scale membership is $45 (excluding microstudio rentals and member storage space). To apply for a sliding scale membership option, please first make sure that you meet the following requirements:
